Information |
The Centre provides
services and social activities for people with a hearing loss, their
families and Carers in Northamptonshire. Information and advice can
also be given on all aspects of deafness, including health, education,
support service’s, equipment and benefits. Other services facilitated
by the centre include Def 2 Youth Club, Tinnitus Group, Thursday Club,
Hard of Hearing Club, Students Nights, Social Club, Church and the
Sunshine Club which is open during the summer holidays.
We
have an Interpreting service and a project worker who goes into local
schools and delivers Basic Deaf Awareness, Training and Sign Language.
We also have a community worker who supports the local Deaf Community
in various situations – home visits can be arranged.

Home-Start is a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the
welfare of families with at least one child under five years of age.
Volunteers offer regular support, friendship and practical help to
families under stress in their own homes helping to prevent family
breakdown. Home-Start is a free and confidential service. |
