Information

The Centre provides services and social activities for people with a hearing loss, their families and Carers in Northamptonshire. Information and advice can also be given on all aspects of deafness, including health, education, support service’s, equipment and benefits. Other services facilitated by the centre include Def 2 Youth Club, Tinnitus Group, Thursday Club, Hard of Hearing Club, Students Nights, Social Club, Church and the Sunshine Club which is open during the summer holidays.

We have an Interpreting service and a project worker who goes into local schools and delivers Basic Deaf Awareness, Training and Sign Language. We also  have a community worker who supports the local Deaf Community in various situations – home visits can be arranged.

The Flexicare Carers Support Service is facilitated from Thrapston Volunteer Centre, with the help of trained volunteer sitters gives Carers a break of 2 or more hours 

Flexifun Holiday Play scheme is for children with disabilities and up to 2 of their siblings. The service is on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays throughout all the children’s school holidays.

Flexifriends is a mentoring scheme for children between 5 and 13 years of age.

The group provides support for Carers, families and adults looking after someone with Autism, Asperger’s syndrome or any associated Autistic Spectrum disorders. They meet every second Friday between 9.30a.m. and 11.30.am. (except August) at Banbury Carers Centre, 27 Horsefair, Banbury, Oxon.
