This page is designed to help Carers supporting someone with mental health problems to avenues of help, support and basic information.

It is very common for people to have a mental health problem, indeed at any one time it is estimated that 1 in every 6 adults will be affected in some way. Another estimate is that 1.5 million people in the UK care for someone with a mental health problem, roughly 1 in 40 of the population so, if this is you, then you are not alone.

Although the page is being continually updated and developed, we are always happy to hear from people with suggestions on content.

We have 10 Mental Health, Carer Development Support Workers (CDSW) based around Northamptonshire, click on link below for further details.

Although all Carers Support Groups around the county welcome Carers from all caring backgrounds, there are Support Groups dedicated to Carers looking after or supporting people with Mental Health issues and you will find the details by clicking on the icons below along with other information that we feel you will find useful.
