'Facing The Future' in the NHS, Northamptonshire
The Northamptonshire Teaching Primary Care Trust (PCT) have a consultation document out which looks at the NHS services in the county for the future.

There is to be a 'Question Time' debate on Thursday 31st July 2008 at the Saints Rugby Group in Northampton which all are welcome to attend.

Developing the Role of the Support Planner - Personal Budgets and Self Directed Care
This one day free event is aimed at anyone with a disability, carers and families or professionals who want to understand support planning and be able to help someone with their plan.

Work is underway to set new dates due to its popularity, however the next date is Tuesday 16th September 2008 between 9.30a.m. and 4p.m at the Wootton Hall Sports Pavilion, Wootton Hall, Northampton.

"Looking after me" - A course for Carers
Looking after me is a course for adults who care for someone with a long term health condition or disability.

It will look at relation techniques, dealing with tiredness, healthy eating, coping with feelings of depression, planning for the future and much more.

is a service designed for women of all ages who are experiencing common mental health problems such as depression, stress, anxiety etc. and run by Northampton and District MIND.

Sessions build self esteem, confidence building and assertion in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Northants Kidney Patients Association (NKPA)
NKPA meet on a monthly basis on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 6.45p.m. at the Kingsley Park Working Men's Club in Northampton. The meeting lasts approx. 2 hours and finishes with a buffet.

The support group is for dialysis patients and their Carers and families or anyone who has an involvement with renal or dialysis, for more details of the group you can contact Marion Higgins on 01604 760715

Do you know someone with or affected by ADHD and living in South Northants or Daventry?
Do you care for a child with a primary diagnosis of ADHD? (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). A support group is held for parents at Towcester medical Centre on the first Tuesday of each month between 6.30pm to 8.30pm

Carers living in or around the Denton area
The Denton Carers Support Group supports carers from the surrounding villages, including Cogenhoe, Lt and Gt Houghton, Brafield on the Green, Whiston, Yardley Hastings, Piddington, Horton, Hackleton, Quinton, Collingtree, Wootton, Castle Ashby, Grendon. We hold a monthly Carers Support Group at Yardley Hastings United Reformed Church Conservatory on the first Wednesday of each month between 2pm - 4pm.

It's a time when carers can offload, share experiences and make new friends. We have a variety of activities, speakers, and outings. We always welcome new members. Travel and sitting costs can be met.
