Training and Awareness

"Looking after me" - A course for Carers
Looking after me is a course for adults who care for someone with a long term health condition or disability.

It will look at relation techniques, dealing with tiredness, healthy eating, coping with feelings of depression, planning for the future and much more.

Gill Foreman is in the process of organising dates around the county for Carers to attend and would very much like to hear from Carers who would like to attend. Further details can be obtained from Gill on 01536 310294 or gill.foreman@eppcic.co.uk

Drug Awareness Training
Would you benefit from some ‘Drug Awareness’ training?

Do you know anyone who abuses drugs?

‘Off The Hook’ is a small drug and alcohol agency based in Northampton. Their mission statement is:

“to provide support to people who are actively changing their lives from
substance/alcohol misuse”

‘Off The Hook’ can provide Drug Awareness training to community organisations or groups in the community as well as to individual Carers. All courses are tailored to the individual needs of the people who contact them and are free of charge, however as funding is always limited with community organisations they do accept donations as being most welcome.

If as a Carer you are interested in knowing more about this training please contact Chris Curley on 01604 259178, by e-mail offthehook@btconnect.com or write to ‘Off The Hook’ St. Johns House, St. Johns Street, Northampton NN1 2JZ or visit their website at www.offthehooknorthampton.net
